Students
who participate in Cutting Edge programs will learn about fencing
history,
terminology,
the three weapons and their corresponding target areas, equipment
specifics and
usage, work
on drills together, participate in fencing actions and footwork, and of
course…
fence in full gear!
Private, one-on-one
lessons are encouraged in order to perfect specific fencing
actions, to learn entirely new actions, and to improve a students
errors or weaknesses.
As some of my students already know, written tests may
periodically be given in order to assess what a student has learned,
doesn't understand, and to make sure there is a balance in both the
cerebral understanding of fencing actions and the physical side.
